What Cutler Health Center Charges
- General office visits with our practitioners are $25.00.Physical examinations are $72.00. Rehabilitation Services vary in price depending on the procedure being done.If you are ever in doubt of what CHC will charge you, please ask!Our clinics and pharmacy are unable to directly submit claims to your private insurance company.
- Certain Specialty Care services, medical procedures, vaccinations, laboratory, and supplies require additional charges at the time of service.
Students may choose between the following four payment options:
Fee-For-Service
Payment is made at the Cutler Billing Office (cash, check, or credit card) at checkout. Charges may also be posted to a student's bursar account. Charges not paid on the day services are rendered will be automatically posted to the student's bursar account.
Cutler Care Package
With this pre-paid alternative, enrolled students will experience no charges for package services. To learn more about this option, select the link entitled "Cutler Care Package" from the menu to the left.
University Student Health Insurance
Cutler Health Center only submits claims for students enrolled in the Undergraduate and Graduate Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan. Approved Cutler charges for students enrolled in this program will be billed directly to the Student Health Insurance company for processing. To learn more about this option, select "Undergraduate" or "Graduate" under the "Insurance" link from the menu to the left.
Private Health Insurance & Maine Care
Cutler Health Center
does not submit claims to outside insurance companies or Maine Care. If you choose to utilize these programs, you will be required to obtain a billing statement and submit it for reimbursement. Billing statements can be obtained upon checking out after your visit, or by requesting a copy from: Resource Office, 5721 Cutler Health Center, University of Maine, Orono, ME 04469-5721. Charges not paid on the day services are rendered will be posted to the student's bursar account.

Note: Regardless of the payment method, all billing statements will be sent directly to the student. Unless the student is under 18 years of age, federal privacy laws prevent us from sending billing statements directly to parents or guardians.
